¶1On urgency being mentioned, this matter is being taken up today for orders as in similar matters, orders have been passed today.

¶2Heard Shri Rahul Kumar Shukla, Advocate alongwith Shri Anil Kumar Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and Dr. Shikha Srivastava, Sri S.K. Singh Kalhans and Ms. Richa Srivastava, Advocates, who have filed their Power on behalf of respondent no.5, which is taken on record.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner has submitted his resignation from the seat of member of Kshetra Panchayat, Shodhanpur (Ward No.18), District Sultanpur to respondent no.4-Block Development Officer, Block Karaundikalan, Sultanpur, which is not considered by respondent no.4. He prays that a direction may be issued to him to consider and decide the same expeditiously, in accordance with law.

¶4Accordingly, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.4 to take a decision on the resignation submitted by petitioner in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from today.
