¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to authority concerned for expeditious disposal of appeal dated 21.09.2023 instituted against punishment order dated 17.11.2023.

¶3For the aforesaid grievance, petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 21.09.2023. At present learned counsel for petitioner restricts his prayer for a final decision with regard to same.

¶4Considering innocuous prayer being made by learned counsel for petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, opposite party No.2 i.e. Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards Headquarter, Lucknow U.P. is directed to consider and decide representation dated 21.09.2023 within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before said authority. Petitioner shall annex a copy of appeal/ representation dated 21.09.2023 alongwith copy of this order.
