Shri Rudra Mani Shukla, learned counsel for the applicants, Shri Rajan Singh, learned counsel for the first informant submit that the parties have arrived at a compromise. The compromise has been reduced to writing and duly executed by the parties. The compromise has also been duly verified by the learned trial court in terms of the order dated 22.12.2023 rendered by this Court in Application U/S 482 No. 12705 of 2023 (Arvind Kumar and another Vs. State of U.P. and another). The aforesaid facts could not be disputed by the learned A.G.A. and borne out from the records. In wake of the preceding discussion, there appears no likelihood of the applicants being convicted in the said criminal case. Continuance of criminal proceedings in these circumstances will be an exercise in futility. Further the proceedings will entail wastage of precious judicial time and create bad blood between the parties. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the application pending. In the interest of justice, the cognizance order dated

10.04.1992 and the summoning order dated 01.10.1994 passed by the learned ACJM-II Sultanpur and the proceedings of Criminal Case No. 2382 of 2022 (State Vs. Dwarika Prasad and others) arising out of Case Crime No. 159 of 1991 under Sections 147, 447, 427, 506 IPC, Police Station Munshiganj, District Sultanpur are quashed.
