¶1Heard Sri Prince Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners.

¶2The grievance raised in the present petition is with regard to the election of the Advocate Bar Association, Tehsil-Ikauana, District-Shrawasti, which are scheduled to be held on 28.06.2024. The grievance of the petitioners is that the name of the petitioners have been removed from the voting list while they claim that they are members of the said Bar Association and also have a due right to cast their votes in the said election.

¶3Considering the grievance of the petitioners, this court is of the considered view that the grievance with regard to the non-inclusion of the name of the petitioners from the voting list can be raised appropriately before the Registrar of the Societies under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and such a dispute cannot be resolved by means of a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

¶4In light of the above, the petitioners are relegated to their statutory remedy before the Registrar of Societies where the grievance raised by the petitioners can be adequately considered and decided.

¶5In case, such application is made, Registrar is directed to consider and decide the same, expeditiously, in light of the aforesaid direction, the petition stands disposed of.
