The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging non-issuance of arms license, required and applied by the petitioner for being used in sporting contests under sports quota. In pursuance to earlier order of this Court, Dr Subhi Singh, A.D.M. (Administration) is present before this Court alongwith license of the petitioner. It is claimed by learned counsel for the petitioner that there is error in spelling in name of the petitioner in the license issued and there is overwriting in the place depicting that the license is valid in whole of India. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents states that the license is valid for entire India. The officer present today also assures that the typographical error in the name of petitioner shall be corrected by tomorrow i.e. by 20.12.2024. The copy of the license shall be handed over to father of petitioner in case he produces authority letter from the petitioner for accepting the aforesaid license.
