¶1Heard the counsel for the petitioner - Insurance Company and the counsel for the respondents - claimants.

¶2The present writ petition has been filed by the Insurance Company challenging the award dated 29.11.2018.

¶3The counsel for the petitioner and the counsel for the respondents state that by means of the judgment dated

02.12.2021 passed in Writ Petition Misc. Single No.23973 of 2020 (Oriental Insurance Company Limited vs. Smt. Uma Devi and others), the amount of penalty awarded @Rs.1,50,000/- was reduced to Rs.75000/-.

¶4Thus, following the said judgment, the present petition is partly allowed on the same terms and conditions. The award shall continue as it is, except that the penalty would be reduced to Rs.75,000/-.

¶5The amount, if any, deposited in this court shall be transmitted to the Permanent Lok Adalat for reimbursement in accordance with law.
