¶1Heard the counsel for the petitioner - Insurance Company and the counsel for the respondents - claimants.

¶2The present writ petition has been filed by the Insurance Company challenging the award dated 13.11.2020.

¶3The issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court dated 06.04.2022 passed in Writ-C No.5317 of 2022 (Oriental Insurance Company Limited vs. Smt. Kuntesh and others).

¶4Thus, following the said judgment, the present petition is partly allowed on the same terms and conditions. The award shall continue as it is, however, if the amount awarded along with penalty is given within a period of two months, the burden of interest would not be charged from the petitioner.

¶5The amount, if any, deposited in this court shall be transmitted to the Permanent Lok Adalat for reimbursement in accordance with law.
