20/11/2024 Heard Mr. P A Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. B Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State.

¶2The petitioners, namely, (1) Manik Chandra Ray and (2) Purnima Bala Ray, have filed this application under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking pre-arrest bail apprehending their arrest in Golakganj P.S. Case No. 79/2024 registered under Section 20(b)

(ii)(B) of NDPS Act corresponding to G.R. No. 396/2024.

¶3During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, on instruction submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted charge-sheet in said Golakganj P.S. Case No. 79/2024 vide Charge-Sheet No. 167/2024 dated 31.07.2024.

¶4In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to appear before the appropriate forum/authority for his regular bail in said Golakganj P.S. Case No. 79/2024 corresponding to corresponding to G.R. No. 396/2024.

¶5With the above observation and direction, this pre-arrest bail application stands disposed of.
