¶1The present petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of the FIR dated 17.02.2014 registered as Abhayapuri P.S. Case No. 62/2014 under Section 498(A)/34 IPC.

¶2As no interim order was passed by this Court while issuing notice to the respondents way back in the year, 2014 and none appears for the petitioners on call when the matter was listed on 22.11.2024, this Court directed Mr. B. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam to obtain instructions as regards the present status of said Abhayapuri P.S. Case No. 62/2014.

¶3Mr. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam has obtained the instructions from the concerned Investigating Officer and he submits that the investigation of the case has already been completed and charge sheet being C.S. No. 38/2014 dated 27.03.2014 was submitted.

¶4In absence of any challenge to said charge-sheet submitted by the Investigating Officer, this Court is of the opinion that nothing survives to be adjudicated in this petition. Accordingly, this criminal petition stands closed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
