Dinesh Chandra Roy v. The State of Assam

ORDER 20-12-2024 Heard Ms. F. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M. Haloi, learned Special Public Prosecutor, CBI.

¶2Apprehending his arrest, the petitioner, namely, Dinesh Chandra Roy, son of Late Saitendra Nath Roy, resident of Pokalagi Pt V, Police Station-Gololganj, District-Dhubri has Page No.# 2/2 filed this application under Section 482 BNS, 2023 seeking pre-arrest bail in Dhubri P.S. Case 310/2024 registered under Sections 120(B)/420/409/506 IPC read with Sections 21(1)(3)/23/25 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019.

¶3During the deliberation of the matter Mr. Haloi, learned Special PP, CBI submitted that said Dhubri P.S. Case No. 310/2024 was subsequently handed over to the CBI and the same has been re-registered as CBI Case No. RC0172024E0018, in which CBI after completion of investigation submitted the charge on 30.11.2024 vide Charge-Sheet No.18/2024.

¶4In view of the above, the petitioner may approach the appropriate authority for his regular bail in said CBI Case No. RC0172024E0018 arising out of Dhubri P.S. Case 310/2024 registered under Sections 120(B)/420/409/506 IPC read with Sections 21(1)

(3)/23/25 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019.

¶5Accordingly, this pre-arrest bail application stands disposed of.
