Heard Mr. E. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. S. Chutia, learned Standing Counsel, Elementary Education Department, Government of Assam, for respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3 and Ms. D.D. Barman, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, for respondent Nos.4, 5 and 6.
¶2The mother of the petitioner late Badrun Nessa Laskar died in harness on
26.01.2009 while serving as Assistant Teacher (Hindi) in Choudhury Para M.E. Madrassa in Hailakandi district, Assam. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application for appointment on compassionate ground on 24.03.2009. However, as there was no information with regard to the application filed by the petitioner, the petitioner again made other applications on 01.10.2010, 27.11.2014, 31.10.2019 and 10.09.2024. ¶3Being aggrieved, the petitioner is before this Court praying for a direction to the respondents for placing her case before the concerned DLC.
¶4Considering the limited prayer involved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to place the case of the petitioner before the next immediate sitting of the concerned DLC. However, if the DLC has already considered the case of the petitioner, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.
¶5With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
