Judgment

Order (Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) We have heard Mr.P.Pugalenthi, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) for respondents.

¶2The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to consider representation dated 14.07.2026 that contains a slew of averments / allegations in regard to the officials in the Salem Prison and seeks medical attention for Gopi (convict), who is confined in Central Prison, Salem.

¶3A detailed counter has been filed answering the allegations and also setting out their version of events.

¶4On the date of admission on 20.07.2026, in light of the fact that certain assertions had been made in regard to the medical condition of the convict, we had perused the medical report and expressed dissatisfaction with the same.
