Order (Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The prayer of the petitioner, wife of one Deepak @ Ram Deepak (convict), confined in Central Prison, Trichy, is for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider her representation dated 01.04.2026 seeking 60 days furlough in line with G.O.Ms.No.82 dated 14.02.2026.

¶2Mr.A.Amarnath, learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side), who accepts notice for the respondents, on instructions, states that the representation has been received and is under consideration of the authorities.

¶3Recording the same, there is a direction to R2 to consider representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2026 and pass orders in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Prisons (Release on Furlough) Rules, 2026, within a period of four (4) weeks from today and communicate the same to the convict and his family.
