¶1The instant petition has been filed praying for mandamus directing respondents to pay compensation to the petitioners for having utilised their land as reservoir of Kanhar Dam, in the District Sonbhadra.

¶2Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in similar circumstances, Writ-C No.36119 of 2022 (Belsiya vs. State of U.P. and 2 others) was disposed of by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 28.01.2023 directing the District Level Committee to make a comprehensive enquiry and take a decision with regard to all applications of the land holders, pertaining to the acquisition of their lands within two months from the date of application. He submits that the instant petition be disposed of on same terms and conditions.

¶3Shri Rajiv Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has no objection.

¶4Accordingly, the instant petition is also disposed of in terms of the directions in Writ-C No.36119 of 2022 (Belsiya vs. State of U.P. and 2 others).
