¶1Heard learned counsel for parties.

¶2Petitioner has approached this Court claiming that against the provisional assessment bill of electricity, he has already filed his objection, but no final decision is being taken by the respondents.

¶3Learned counsel for the Power Corporation states that objection filed by petitioner shall be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.

¶4In the given facts and circumstances of the case, respondent no.2-Executive Engineer, Electricity Urban Distribution Division, Indira Nagar, 33/11 KV Sub-station HAL, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, is directed to decide the objection filed by petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of ten days from today. The petitioner shall appear before the Executive Engineer concerned for the purpose of hearing on 12.10.2023 and thereafter whenever called for, by the Executive Engineer. In case petitioner fails to cooperate in expeditious disposal of objection, the benefit of this order would not be available to him.

¶5It goes without saying that any demand against the petitioner shall be subject to final order passed by the Executive Engineer concerned.
