Investigating Officer concerned.

¶5Brief facts of the case are that the present dispute arises out of an MoU dated 05.10.2009 concerning property bearing No. XX, Friends Colony

(East), New Delhi. Pursuant thereto, Respondent No. 2 initiated criminal proceedings, resulting in registration of FIR No. 84/2018 under Sections 420/406/34 IPC. The parties subsequently expressed their willingness to amicably resolve all their civil and criminal disputes, pursuant to which they entered into a Settlement Agreement dated 28.05.2026.

¶6On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise, vide MOU dated 28.05.2026, out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

¶7In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

¶8Accordingly, FIR No. 84/2018, registered at Police Station New Friends Colony, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 420/406/34 of the IPC, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.

¶9The present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.
