¶1This order is being passed in view of a similar order dated 06.07.2026 passed in W.P.(C) 8763/2026, covering the present issue. Based upon the said order and using the same reasons and expressions, this order is being passed.

¶2The case of petitioners is that the Northern Regional Committee ("NRC") of the National Council for Teacher Education ("NCTE") has granted recognition to the petitioners for only one unit (50 seats) of B.Ed. Course but has not given any reason for non-grant of recognition of second unit (B.Ed. course) in respect of petitioners' application.

¶3Further grievance of petitioners is that though this court vide its order dated 06.04.2026 passed in W.P. (C) No. 4457/2026 had set aside the order dated 15.01.2026 of appellate authority of NCTE and remanded the matter to be decided by respondents by treating the said writ petition as representation but instead of consideration of matter by NRC, which is the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. competent authority under Section 14/15 of NCTE Act, appellate authority on its own revived the previous appeal and again passed the fresh order dated 16.06.2026, a correct copy of which has been handed over in court. The order dated 16.06.2026 of appellate authority is taken on record.

¶4Mr. Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, states respondent No. 2 is NRC and has been inadvertently written as Western Regional Committee in the petition. The same is corrected and the respondent No. 2 shall read as Northern Regional Committee in place of Western Regional Committee.

¶5Mr. Kumar, learned counsel, further states that the present case is covered by the order of this Court dated 23.12.2020 in W.P.(C) 10995/2020 titled Vaishnavi Shiksha Mahavidyalaya & Anr. v. National Council of Teacher Education & Anr. and order dated 06.07.2026 in W.P.(C) 8763/2026 titled K C College of Education & Anr. v. National Council of Teacher Education and Anr.

¶6In the said order dated 06.07.2026, the respondent was directed to treat the writ petition as a representation and decide the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order within four weeks. The petitioner was granted liberty to take steps against the order so passed.

¶7For the said reasons, issue notice,

¶8Mr. Rupal, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and does not dispute that the circumstances of the present case are covered by the aforementioned order of this Court dated 23.12.2020 and

06.07.2026.

¶9In view thereof, the impugned order dated 16.06.2026 of appellate authority is set aside and the present petition is disposed of with a direction upon the NRC (respondent No. 2) to treat this petition as a representation The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. and decide the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order within four weeks from today. The petitioners are at liberty to take steps against the said order, if required. If the respondents require any clarification or any further documents to be submitted, it will inform the petitioners and the petitioners will be provided with an opportunity to supply the documents for clarification and compliance of deficiency, if any.

¶10The present order is passed without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties. This Court has not made any observations on the merits of the case.
