¶2The grievance of the petitioner is that an invoice has been raised by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on 7th July, 2026 for a sum of Rs.29,61,070.18, which is excessive.
¶3Mr. Tushar Sannu, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents on advance notice, submits that a perusal of the aforesaid bill would show that the petitioner has been granted waiver of Rs.25,70,172/- under the LPSC Waiver Scheme and the amount payable by the petitioner is Rs.3,91,267/-. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. This, he submits, is for a period of 18 years from 2008 to 2026.
¶4It appears from the record that the petitioner has also initiated proceedings before the Permanent Lok Adalat, which is pending and the next date of hearing before the Permanent Lok Adalat is 25th August, 2026. It is the petitioner's grievance that none has been appearing on behalf of the respondent/DJB in the proceedings before the Permanent Lok Adalat.
¶5Mr. Tushar Sannu submits that he will ensure that an authorised representative of DJB appears before the Permanent Lok Adalat on 25th August, 2026.
¶6Considering that the issue raised in the present petition is pending before the Permanent Lok Adalat, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present writ petition.
¶7Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. AMIT BANSAL, J AUGUST 19, 2026 Vivek/- The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
