¶1The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/ Election Commission of India ('ECI') to approve the proposed name of the petitioner's political party, i.e., 'Rashtriya Jan Awaz Party'.

¶2The petitioner had applied for the registration of the political party on 15th December, 2025.

¶3Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/ECI submits that the application of the petitioner has been examined and verification of the 20 affidavits submitted by the petitioner as well as the address has been completed.

¶4Currently, ECI is in the process of examining the name of the This is a digitally signed order. W.P.(C) 12237/2026 proposed political party which is likely to be concluded within two (2) weeks from today. Upon the name being cleared by ECI, a communication would be sent to the petitioner for publication in newspapers.

¶5Taking note of the aforesaid submissions, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent/ECI to expeditiously carry out the process of registration.
