J U D G M E N T (oral)
¶1Petitioner seeks de-freezing of his account and lifting of the lien marked therein.
¶2The matter is being investigated by CBI as per the directions given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
¶3Learned SPP for CBI appears on advance notice and submits that the concerned Bank has already been informed to de-freeze the bank account while marking lien with respect to the disputed account. The disputed amount, with respect to the bank account of the petitioner-Lakshay Sharma, is of Rs.50,004/-. He seeks to place on record a communication regarding de-freezing and marking of lien which was sent way back on 19.12.2025.
W.P.(CRL) 2586/2026
¶4The same is directed to be taken on record.
¶5In view of the above, there is nothing to adjudicate in the present petition.
¶6Since the lien has been marked and the account has already been de-freezed, the petitioner can always operate his bank account. If, according to petitioner, he had no involvement with the offence in question and no lien could have been marked, he can always file an appropriate application before the concerned Magisterial Court, seized with the matter.
¶7Viewed thus, this Court does not find any requirement of passing any further direction in the present writ petition. The petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms.
¶8Pending applications also stand disposed of.
