11.11.2024

¶1The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (now Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023) has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking the following reliefs: "a. Pass an order issuing an appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondent to withdraw/quash the Look-Out Circular issued against the Petitioner.."

¶2Learned ASC appearing for the State submitted that by way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of the Look Out Circular issued against him pursuant to the FIR bearing No. 36/2024. This is a digitally signed order. 3. Learned ASC appearing for the State has no objection to the instant petition being allowed in view of the order of the even date passed in CRL.M.C. 7804/2024, by virtue of which the FIR bearing No. 36/2024 and all the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom have been quashed.

¶4Therefore, keeping in view the fact that the aforesaid FIR stands quashed vide the order of the even date passed in CRL.M.C. 7804/2024, this Court is of the view that no purpose will be served in keeping the Look Out Circular issued against the petitioner pursuant to the said FIR pending. Accordingly, the instant petition is allowed and the Look Out Circular issued against the petitioner is quashed.

¶5In view of the above, the instant petition stands disposed of. Pending applications, if any, stands dismissed.
