¶1By way of present petition, the petitioner, who is the uncle of the deceased, alleges tardy and unfair investigation in the matter relating to the death of his niece. The FIR has been registered under Sections 108/85 of BNS, 2023.

¶2Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the inquest proceedings only the statement of the uncle has been recorded so far. It is the grievance of the petitioner that till date statements of even the family members of the deceased have not been recorded.

¶3Issue notice.

¶4Learned ASC for the State accepts notice and on instructions from the IO, submits that though the IO has made efforts to contact the parents of the deceased, who live in Jharkhand, however, they have not cooperated. This is a digitally signed order. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the aforesaid submissions.

¶6Considering that the case pertains to the death of a deceased within two years of marriage, without delving into the respective contentions of the either of the parties or on the investigation, it is deemed apposite to direct that the investigation be transferred to the Crime Branch forthwith.

¶7In view of the above, the petition is disposed of.
