29.09.2010 Present: Mr. Vi nod K. Sharma, Adv. for the petitioner. Mr. Navin Sharma, Adv. for the State. Mr. Ved Pal Singh, Adv. for the complainant. Crl. M.C. No. 3105/2010 This petition has been filed by the petitioner under section 482 ._Cr.P.C for quashing of FIR No. 89/2009, u/s 498-A/406/34 IPC, registered at P.S. Farsh Bazar, Delhi. Both the parties are present in the Court today. Respondent No.2, Ms. Karamjeet Kaur, is identified by Inspector Kusum. It is stated by both the parties that the parties have amicably settled the matter. As per settlement the respondent No. 2/ complainant has received a sum of Rs. 75,000/- towards full and final settlement of maintenance, istridhan, alimony and all other claims. There are no disputes pending between them. It is further stated that the •:Petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 have been granted decree of divorce by mutual consent. Now, the complainant prays that the FIR No. 89/2009, u/s 498-A/406/34 IPC, registered at P.S. Farsh Bazar, Delhi, be quashed. In my considered opinion no useful purpose will be served by continuing the said FIR, particularly when the parties have settled all their disputes amicably. In view of the above the petition is allowed, \ Certify that the digital file and physical file have been compared and the digital data is as per the physical file and no page is missing. FIR No. 89/2009, u/s 498-N406/34 IPC, registered at P.S. Farsh Bazar, Delhi, and all other pending proceedings, are therefore ordered to be quashed against all the accused. The petition stands disposed of. No orders as to costs. Dasti. c.JJ, S.L.BHAYANA,J • •
