13.01.2012 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.PC preferred by the petitioners for quashing of FIR No,211/2009 under Sections 498A/406 IPG registered at Police Station Sawroop Nagar, Delhi and all consequential proceedings arising therefromonthe groundthatthepartiesintersehave arrivedat a compromise. The petitioners and respondent no.2 are present in person and are identified by their respective counsels. Petitioner no.l Jai Prakash and respondentno.2/complainantSmt Guddiawere marriedbut on accountofsome matrimonial discord, the aforesaid FIR was lodged at the instance of complainant.The partieshave now taken divorceby mutual consentvide order dated 21.12.2011.As per the terms ofsettlement,Rs.70,000/-has alreadybeen paid and the balanceamountofRs.35,000/-has beenpaid todayin the courtby wayofbankdraft,the receiptofwhichrespondentno.2acknowledges.Shestates that smce the matterhas been compromised,she does not intend to pursuethe aforesaidFIRanyfurther. Havmg regardto the facts and circumstancesofthe case,the petitionis allowedand FIRNo.211/2009underSections498A/406IPG registeredat Police % •J-Station Sawroop Nagar, Delhi and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
