Judgment

O R D E R %

14.11.2017 It is submitted that after resolving their differences, petitioner No. 1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) have started living together since 24th December, 2016. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Neeraj of Police Station South Rohini. Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5 and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after ironing out their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice FIR No.239/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station South Rohini, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
