Judgment
ORDER Date : 10.01.2024 (M. Zothankhuma, J.)
Heard Mr. D. K. Bhattacharyya, learned counsel appearing for the applicant/appellant, who submits that there is a delay of 15 days in preferring the appeal against the conviction and sentence of the applicant pursuant to the judgment Page No.# 2/2 and order dated 11.10.2023, passed by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Barpeta, in Sessions Case No. 77/2018. Ms. S. H. Bora, learned Add. Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State, submits that she has no objection to the delay being condoned. On considering the grounds of delay, we are of the view that sufficient cause for the delay has been made out as numerated in the application. Accordingly, the delay of 15 days in preferring the appeal is condoned. Registry to register the appeal and list the same after a week. I.A. is accordingly allowed and disposed of.
