ORDER

29.01.2024

¶1Heard Ms. M. Nirola, learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2The petitioner is before this Court praying for a direction to the respondent to release his arrear salaries for the period from January, 2021 to January, 2023. The salary was not paid to the petitioner as he was initially superannuated on the basis of the wrong date of birth which was challenged before this Court and upon liberty granted by this court, the representatives of the authorities concerned, by the order dated 13.02.2023 re-engaged the petitioner in his previous position as a master roll worker and the earlier order was cancelled. It is now the claim of the petitioner for grant of salary for the said period for which he was wrongly dis-engaged from his service. A representation was preferred before the authorities concerned on 20.09.2023, however, the same has not been disposed of.

¶3Ms. R. Begum, learned counsel appears for all the respondents.

¶4Considering the prayer made in the writ petition, that the representation preferred on 20.09.2023 for release of arrear salary from the month of January, 2021 to the month January, 2023, the Court is of the considered view that the writ petition can be closed with a direction to the respondents to look into the grievances of the writ petitioner and thereafter pass a speaking order disposing of the representation. Any order that is passed copy thereof be served to the petitioner. Page No.# 3/3

¶5The Registrar, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat will pass a speaking order as directed within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

¶6In terms of the above, writ petition stands disposed of.
