¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no any contraband item was seized from the possession of the present petitioner. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been languishing in jail hazot for more than eight months since 29.07.2023. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed that considering the period of detention as well as the background of the case, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. In support of his submission, the learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance on the following case laws-

(i) Karnail Singh v. State of Haryana, reported in (2009) 8 SCC 539; (ii) Sarija Banu @ Janarthani @ Janani & Anr. v. State through Inspector of Police, reported in (2004) 12 SCC 266.

¶5I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the Page No.# 3/4 parties. I have also perused the scanned copy of trial court record.
