Sadoy Kr. Deka v. The State of Assam

ORDER Date : 06.02.2024 Heard Mr. B. D. Konwar, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. S. Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B. B. Gogoi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. This interlocutory application has been filed in bail application No. 262/2024 Page No.# 2/2 which was filed by the petitioner on 24.01.2024 praying for correction of the cause-title as well as the prayer portion and in paragraph No. 1 and 3 of the bail petition by inserting Section 120(B)/467/468/447 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 in place of Section 120(B)/419/420/409/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Section 66C/66D of the I.T. Act, 2000. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the said error has crept inadvertently due to typographical mistake. Considering the grounds mentioned by the learned senior counsel, prayer is allowed. The petitioner is allowed to correct the mistakes by filing an amended cause-title and file corrected cause-title within two days from the date of this order. This interlocutory application is hereby disposed of.
