ORDER

17.02.2024 Heard Mr. M.A. Islam, learned counsel for the applicants and also heard Mr. B. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, appearing for the State respondent.

¶2This interlocutory application is preferred by two applicants, namely, Abu Siddique and Md. Sattar Ali, for impleading one Abdul Korim as respondent No.2 in the AB No.848/2023, in connection with South Salmara P.S. Case No.44/2023 under Section 9/10/11 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, read with Section 6/17 of the POCSO Act, which was registered on the basis of an FIR lodged by one Abdul Korim on 02.02.2023.

¶3As the case has been registered under Section 6/17 of the POCSO Act, the said informant is a necessary party in this anticipatory bail application and as such, the informant is required to be impleaded as respondent No.2 in AB No.848/2023.

¶4Accordingly, the informant, namely, Abdul Korim be impleaded as respondent No.2 in AB No.848/2023.

¶5In terms of above, this I.A. stands disposed of.
