¶1The Petitioners herein which are the Town Committee being aggrieved by the cancellation of the allotment of the land by the Respondent Authorities to dispose the solid wastes have approached this Court by filing the instant writ petition. Page No.# 2/2

¶2Mr. H. Buragohain, the learned counsel for the Petitioners submitted that on

19.03.2020, a plot of land measuring 10 Bigha covered by Dag No.77 situated at 5 No. Golai Gaon under Makum Mouza of Margherita Revenue Circle in the District of Tinsukia have been allotted in favour of the Digboi Municipal Board for dumping of garbage. In that regard, on 12.10.2022, the possession was also handed over to the Petitioners. The learned counsel for the Petitioners therefore submitted that nothing further remains in the instant writ petition.

¶3This Court having taken into account the above is of the opinion that the instant writ petition has become infructuous in view of the allotment made on

19.03.2020 and the possession handed over on 12.10.2022. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands closed.

¶4The documents which have been placed before this Court i.e. the order of allotment dated 19.03.2020 and the certificate of possession dated 12.10.2022 are kept on record and marked with the letter "X" and "Y" respectively.
