04.03.2024 Heard Mr. R Ali, learned counsel for the petitioner. The present writ petition is filed assailing an order dated 09.01.2023 whereby an order dated 13.10.2022 relating to shifting of Islampur Sukharjar Anganwadi Centre No. 229 was cancelled. By the order dated 13.10.2022, a direction was issued to run the said Anganwadi Centre from a different place in the background fact that the village for which the Anganwadi Centre was created was eroded by river Brahmaputra. The respondent authorities has filed an affidavit in this proceeding and has taken a stand that as per Circle Officer's report the centre is allowed to run in the present place at village Sukhowarjhar in the public interest as per order dated

13.10.2022. Thus, by implication the impugned order has not been given effect to inasmuch as pleadings of the respondents reflects that public interest demands to continue with the Anganwadi Centre at the place in terms of order dated 13.10.2022. In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives to be decided in this present writ petition. Accordingly, same stands closed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
