Heard Mr. A. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. S. S. Roy, learned counsel for all the respondents.

¶2The grievance of the petitioners is that the respondent Guwahati Police Commissioner had hired 7 vehicles from the petitioners and the hiring charges of the vehicles amounting to Rs.1,23,24,306/- have not been paid to the petitioners.

¶3Mr. S. S. Roy, learned counsel for all the respondents has submitted a letter No.V/HC-22/WP(C) No.865-24/2024/1291 dated 29.07.2024, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati, which is to the effect that Rs.13,06,644/- has already been paid to the petitioners and the balance amount payable to the petitioner is Rs.1,10,47,085/-.

¶4I have heard the learned counsels for the parties.

¶5On perusing the letter dated 29.07.2024, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati, I find that the respondents have admitted that the petitioners are still liable to be paid Rs.1,10,47,085/-.

¶6Para 4 (IV) & (V) of the letter dated 29.07.2024, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati is to the effect that the payment of Page No.# 3/3 Rs.13,06,644/- pertaining to 6 bills has been made to the petitioners. However, the petitioners are entitled to remaining outstanding balance amount of Rs.1,10,47,085/-.

¶7The letter dated 29.07.2024, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati is made a part of the record and marked as Annexure-X.

¶8In view of the respondents having admitted to the fact that they are still liable to pay the vehicle hiring charges of Rs.1,10,47,085/- to the petitioners, the respondents are accordingly directed to pay the said amount to the petitioners, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

¶9The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
