Mr. U. Sarma, learned standing counsel, appearing on behalf of the contemnor, has produced before this Court, a copy of the order, dated 10.01.2024, by which, the Director, Elementary Education Department, Government of Assam, on consideration of the case of the petitioner for provincialization of services in terms of this Court's order, dated 11.12.2019, passed in WP(c)9182/2019, has rejected the case of the petitioner.

I have perused the order, dated 10.01.2024 and find that the same is in substantial compliance of the directions contained in the order, dated 11.12.2019, passed in Page No.# 2/2 WP(c)9182/2019 and as such, there is no willful and deliberate violation of the Court's order by the contemnors in the matter.

Accordingly, in view of the order, dated 10.01.2024, the present contempt petition is hereby closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to assail the conclusions contained in the order, dated 10.01.2024, by way of preferring an appropriate application, if so advised.

The copy of the order, dated 10.01.2024, shall be kept as a part of the record and marked as 'X' for identification.
