This is an application filed by the applicant praying for correction of the typographical error crept in the cause title of the Criminal Petition No. 184/2024 It is submitted by the leaned counsel for the applicant that the name of the respondent has been inadvertently mentioned as Sri Ram Lakhan Gupta, son of Sri Baijnath Gupta,, resident of Mulaibari, P.O. and P.S. Digboi, District-Tinsukia, Assam, PIN 786171 instead of Sri Jai Prakash Gupta, son of late Mulai Prasad Gupta, resident of A.T. Road, Chariali Area, P.S. Digboi, District-Tinsukia, Assam, PIN 786171. After hearing the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, I have perused the records and the judgment and order dated 13.10.2023 passed by the learned court below in NI Case No. 03/2017 wherein it is seen that the name of the complainant i.e. respondent herein is mentioned as Sri Jai Prakash Gupta and accordingly, the applicant has filed the amended petition to amend the cause title of the petition. The prayer is allowed. The petitioner is directed to correct the name of the respondent accordingly as mentioned in paragraph 3 of the interlocutory application and file this corrected/ amended Page No.# 3/3 cause title of the petition. With the above observation, this IA is disposed of.
