ORDER

15.05.2024

¶1None appears for the petitioners when the matter is called. Page No.# 3/3

¶2Heard Ms. M. Barman, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State respondents and Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.2 as well as Ms. S. Boro, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. R.B. Bora, learned counsel for the BTC.

¶3It appears that there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners also on 12.05.2023 and 13.05.2024.

¶4In view of the consecutive absence of the petitioners' counsel, this Court on the last occasion had directed the Registry to intimate the counsel appearing for the petitioners as regards the fixing of the case today. In this respect, a note is placed before this Court by the Registry vide office note dated 14.05.2024 which indicates that upon contacting the counsel for the petitioners it has come to the knowledge that the writ petitioner has taken away the brief.

¶5In view of the fact that the writ petitioner has taken away the brief from the engaged counsel and as there has been no representation for the petitioners since last three dates, this Court is of the considered view that this writ petition can be dismissed for non-prosecution.

¶6Ordered accordingly.
