Heard Mr. S. Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. Choudhury, learned counsel for the APDCL.

¶2The petitioner is aggrieved by the change of the name of the connection holder relating to the electricity connection, bearing Consumer No. 51000026880 and Meter No. 7053657 at Dhekiajuli 4th Part.

¶3The petitioner is aggrieved by the change of name of the electricity connection holder from his name to that of his brother's name (respondent No. 12).

¶4Mr. B. Choudhury, learned counsel for the APDCL had been asked as to who would be the appropriate authority to decide the grievance of the petitioner. Mr. B. Choudhury submits that the appropriate authority would be the Chief Electrical Officer, Tezpur Electrical Circle, who would be able to decide the issue raised herein.

¶5Mr. S. Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no objection to the Chief Electrical Officer, Tezpur Electrical Circle deciding the issue raised by the petitioner.

¶6In view of the consent of the parties, the Chief Electrical Officer, Tezpur Electrical Circle is directed to decide the issue raised by the petitioner, with Page No.# 4/4 regard to who should be the electricity connection holder in respect of the Consumer No. 51000026880 and Meter No. 7053657. The same should be decided within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the respondent Nos. 10, 11, 12 and all others he may consider necessary for taking a decision on the issue raised by the petitioner.

¶7This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
