08.01.2024, today Mr. A. Phukan, learned standing counsel, Education (Elementary) Department has produced a copy of the instruction dated 18.01.2024 issued by the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, wherein it has been stated that the arrear salary amount of the petitioner amounting to ` 6,41,802/- has already been released and the Block Elementary Education Officer, Hailakandi has processed and submitted the bill pertaining to the petitioner to the Treasury Office on 17.01.2024. Along with the said instruction, the communication received from the Block Elementary Education Officer on 18.01.2024 indicating submission of the bill of the petitioner before the Hailakandi Treasury Office is also available. In view of the aforesaid development, the directions passed by this Court vide order dated 01.06.2022 in WP(C) No.2279/2022 stands complied with. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed.
