Heard Mr. D.P. Mandal, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. C.K.S. Baruah, learned Government Advocate, Assam for respondent No.1; Mr. S. Borah, learned Standing Counsel, BTC for respondent Nos.2, 5, 6 and 7 and Ms. M. Kalita, learned Standing Counsel, PHE Department, Government of Assam for respondent Nos.3 and 4.

¶2The husband of the petitioner, late Suklaswar Das, while working as Khalashi under Baksa (PHE) Division, Mushalpur expired on 03.03.2012. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application for appointment on compassionate ground on 21.03.2012, which was forwarded to the Executive Engineer, (PHE) Tamulpur on 22.03.2012. Page No.# 3/3

¶3The grievance of the petitioner is that his case is yet to be considered by the concerned DLC till date.

¶4Considering the short issue involved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the concerned DLC to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground in its next immediate sitting, if not already considered. If the case of the petitioner has already been considered, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.

¶5With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
