The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by the action/inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in not finalizing his pension and other pensionary benefits.

Mr. P. Saikia, learned counsel appearing for the Department of Pension, Government of Assam, has placed before this Court, a copy of the Pension Payment Order(PPO), dated 08.04.2024, authorizing to the petitioner, his due pension and other pensionary benefits w.e.f. 01.10.2022.

It is submitted that a copy of the Pension Payment Order(PPO) has already been forwarded to the concerned Treasury Officer and the petitioner is now required to appear before the Treasury Officer, Cachar, for receiving his due payment.

In view of the above, the pension having been authorized to the petitioner, Page No.# 3/3 herein, no issue arises for further consideration.

Accordingly, in view of the issuance of the Pension Payment Order (PPO), in question, to the petitioner, herein, the writ petition stands closed.

The copy of the Pension Payment Order(PPO), dated 08.04.2024, as produced by Mr. Saikia, learned counsel, appearing for the Department of Pension, Assam, is kept as a part of the record and marked as 'X' for identification.
