Manju Rani Chanda v. The Divisional Manager, Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. and 2 Ors

ORDER The case is put up before the National Lok Adalat. The Insurance Company is represented by its officials. The claimant is duly present along with engaged counsel. It is submitted that the earlier awarded amount was Rs. 5,63,000/- (Rupees five lakhs sixty-three thousand) only and after negotiation, both the parties are agreed to settle the matter on an amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs) only as full and final settlement. Accordingly, the respondent/Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. is hereby directed to deposit an amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs) only before the learned Tribunal, MACT, Bongaigaon within a period of 1 (one) month from today and the claimant will be at liberty to withdraw the same on being proper verification and identification by the concerned counsel of the case.
