ORDER

27.06.2024 Heard Mr. S.I. Akand, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. M. Barman, learned Government Advocate, Assam and Ms. R.S. Chowdhury, learned Standing Counsel, Assam State Legal State Authority (ASLSA). Ms. M. Barman, learned Government Advocate, Assam submits that a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakhs) have been awarded by the DLSA in respect of the claim made by the petitioner. However, the learned counsel or the petitioner submits that he is not aware nor a copy of the award has been served upon the petitioner. Ms. M. Barnam, learned Government Advocate has submitted before the Page No.# 3/3 Court that the petitioner was communicated over telephone regarding the final award but neither the petitioner nor any of her family member appeared before the authority to collect the copy of the award. However, she submits that a copy of the award order will be served to the petitioner within a week. Be that as it may, a copy of the award order will be served upon the petitioner within a week from today and the petitioner, if so aggrieved, may prefer an appeal as provided under the statute before the competent Authority. In terms of the above the writ petition stands disposed of.
