Heard Mrs. S.B. Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner. We have also heard Mr. N. Das, learned Government Advocate, Assam, appearing for the respondents. This writ petition is filed by the petitioner in the design of Public Interest, essentially being aggrieved with the ongoing construction activities in the premises of Girls Higher Secondary School, Silchar. From the representation filed by the petitioner before the Executive Officer, Silchar Municipal Board and the District Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar, it appears that the petitioner is claiming that the said construction is being raised by the School authorities without obtaining necessary permission from the Local Body. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the contents of the petition, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Executive Officer, Silchar Municipal Board, Cachar, Silchar, to consider and decide the representation filed by the petitioner, if the same has not been decided till date, strictly in accordance with law, after providing opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties, expeditiously. Ordered accordingly.
