ORDER

Heard Mr. A. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K. K. Parasar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State respondent. This is an application filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused/petitioner. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Islam that the accused/petitioner has been searched by the Kokrajhar police on suspicion in connection with money laundering case. Hence, there is an apprehension of arrest and accordingly he filed the present anticipatory bail application regarding an enquiry as to whether there is any case registered or pending against the accused petitioner. In this context, Mr. Parasar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that he received an intimation letter from the Kokrajhar Police Station, wherein, as per the Officer-in-Charge, Kokrajhar Police Station has submitted that no any case record has been found against the present petitioner named Najmul Ali till date. So, considering the report of the IO, I find it appropriate that there cannot be an apprehension of arrest of the present petitioner by the Kokrajhar Police Station and accordingly, the present petition has no merit and the same stands disposed of.
