BEFORE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE LANUSUNGKUM JAMIR :: O R D E R :: 01-04-2024 Heard Mr. B.M. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioner. By this contempt petition, the petitioner is alleging willful and deliberate disobedience of the interim order dated 25-08-2023, passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 4887/2023. The operative portion of the order reads as under: "7. Considering the aforesaid submission and the fact that the petitioner is working in the said capacity for more than a decade, the present arrangement by which the petitioner is rendering his service as Pump Operator may not be disturbed till the returnable date.

¶8It is also observed that the remuneration entitled to by the petitioner by dint of service may be released to him.

¶9The aforesaid interim order, however would be reconsidered after obtaining the instructions by the learned counsel for the respondents."

On consideration of the order dated 25-08-2023, it appears that there was no time prescribed for payment of remuneration to the petitioner. Accordingly, this contempt petition is disposed of directing the concerned respondents to pay the remuneration of petitioner as Pump Operator within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observation and direction, this contempt petition is closed.
