Shreya Paul v. The State of Assam and 3 Ors

ORDER Date : 24.04.2024 Heard Mr. J.U.N.M. Laskar, learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2On the ground that there is no progress in the investigation of Karimganj P.S. Case No.1099/2017, the present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

¶3Mr. S. Baruah, learned Govt. Advocate has produced a copy of instruction dated 17.04.2024 received from the Superintendent of Police, Karimganj, wherein it is stated that the investigation of Karimganj P.S. Case No. 1099/2017, under Section 306 IPC has been completed and a Final Report bearing no. 451/17, dated 31.12.2017 has already been submitted.

¶4In view of such submission, this writ petition has become infructuous.

¶5Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed at the motion stage without issuance of notice on the respondents.
