ORDER Date : 11.05.2024 The case is put up before the National Lok Adalat today. The respondent/claimant Sri Dipen Deka is present before Court today. Page No.# 2/2 Mr. A. Munin Chowdhury, Regional Manager is representing United India Insurance Company Limited. This case has been amicably settled between the parties. In this case, the original compensation awarded was of Rs.4,20,957/-. Out of which, the appellant has already deposited Rs.3,15,718/- with the Registry of this Court and the claimant has already withdrawn an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- out of the deposited amount. As per the settlement reached between the parties, the Insurance Company shall pay an additional amount of Rs.1,00,000/- to what has already been deposited in the Registry of this Court i.e., in addition to Rs.3,15,718/-. An additional amount of Rs.1,00,000/- shall be paid by the Insurance Company within a period of 45 days from the date of this order. On deposit of the said amount, the Registry shall disburse the said amount to the claimant on verification of his identity as well as verification of his bank details. The Registry shall disburse the total remaining payable amount i.e., Rs.2,15,718/- to the claimant on verification of his identity after the deposit of the same by the Insurance Company. This case is accordingly disposed of. The statutory deposit made by the appellant shall be returned back.
