ORDER
02.08.2024
Heard Mr. A. K. Azad, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S. C. Keyal, learned standing counsel, NCB. This is an application filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., praying for pre-arrest bail by the petitioner, namely, Ranu Deka, in connection with NCB Page No.# 2/2 Guwahati Crime No. 18/2023, registered under Section 8(C) read with Section 21(C)/29 of NDPS Act. It is submitted by the learned standing counsel, NCB that as per order of this Court, the petitioner appeared before the NCB officials but failed to produce any document regarding selling of her vehicle bearing No. AS-01-AE-8182. However, it is submitted by Mr. Keyal that the matter may be disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before the NCB Officials as and when required. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner sold the vehicle by putting her signature on the sale deed which was taken away by the purchasers. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel for both the parties and also perused the trial court record. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties as well as perusing the record, the matter stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before the NCB Officials as and when required. Accordingly, this application stands disposed of.
