¶2Mr. D. Nath, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that on verification, it was found that the petitioner is not entitled to the contractual dues claimed by him, in terms of the letter dated 09.07.2024, issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department, Dispur and the letter dated 07.06.2024 issued by the Commissioner, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, Assam.

¶3The letters dated 09.07.2024 and 07.06.2024 are made a part of the record and marked as Annexure X & Y respectively.

¶4The above two letters clearly show that the respondents have taken a stand that the petitioner is not entitled to the amount of Rs.13,99,441/-, as claimed by him in WP(C) 6724/2023. As such, this Court is of the view that the order dated 24.11.2023 passed in WP(C) 6724/2023 has been complied with, as a verification has been made with regard to whether the petitioner was entitled to the amount of Rs.13,99,441/-.

¶5In respect of the petitioner's claim for another amount of Rs.15,54,935/-, in terms of the order dated 22.11.2023 passed in WP(C) Page No.# 3/3 6696/2023, this Court finds that the said issue has already been closed in the order dated 03.10.2024 passed in Cont.Cas(C) 297/2024.

¶6The contempt petition is accordingly closed.
