As per the last order dated 21.08.2023, the counsel for the petitioner had submitted that the brief of the case had already been handed over to the petitioner. However, no one appears for the petitioner today. The present case relates to the challenge made to the order dated
14.06.2021, whereby extension of the lease period of Sonduva Pabhakati Beel of Morigaon District had been granted to the private respondent for a period of 1 (one) year w.e.f. 15.06.2021, with the provision of further extension of 2
(two) years on satisfactory completion of one year. Mr. P. Sarma, learned counsel for the AFDC submits that the said fishery has been settled through tender process after the filing of the writ petition and as such, the writ petition has become infructuous. On perusing the records, it appears that the present writ petition has become infructuous. However, as no one appears for the writ petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
